HospitalityManagementDegrees.net was founded by a number of higher education researchers who realized the lack of coverage on hospitality management opportunities online. While there are many sites that cover online MBAs, or business degrees generally, few cover the large and rapidly growing field of hospitality management.

While HospitalityManagementDegrees was founded to foster an editorially independent site covering hospitality education, we do collect a small fee for connecting potential students with universities offering hospitality management programs. None of these partner programs are placed in rankings, rather locations in which visitors have the option to connect with an accredited hospitality management program are labelled "sponsored" throughout the site.
